Prioritise Flat, Even Light
AI performs best when it can clearly see the contours of your face without harsh shadows.

Daylight: Face a large window directly. Turn off all interior lights to avoid "mixed lighting" colour issues.

Night-time: Position a bright lamp so it points directly at a white wall in front of you. This "bounced" light creates a soft, wrap-around glow that mimics a professional studio softbox.

Lens Clarity & Settings

Clean the Lens: A quick wipe of your phone’s camera lens removes pocket oils that cause a "dreamy" haze. We want crisp, high-contrast data.

Standard Photo Mode Only: Do not use "Portrait Mode." The artificial blur often smudges the edges of hair and ears, which complicates the AI's edge-detection.

Eliminate "Selfie Distortion"
Holding a phone too close to your face causes wide-angle distortion (making the nose appear larger and the ears smaller).

The "Long Lens" Technique: If someone is helping you, have them stand 2 metres back and use the 2x or 3x zoom. This compresses the image, slimming the face and mimicking a professional 85mm portrait lens.

Going Solo: If taking a selfie, extend your arm fully and keep the camera level with your eyes to maintain natural proportions.

Data Consistency
Our portal accepts up to 10 images. While a single photo can work, providing more data ensures a more accurate likeness.

Multiple Angles: Provide a mix of straight-on, 45-degree left, and 45-degree right views.
